Free Advice

If there is one thing that I've learnt lately, its that.. EVERYTHING is an experience. Your entire life.. its just nothing but a bag full of experiences. And I don't mean "work ex" or "an adventurous experience" like skydiving or Bungee jumping etc..after which most people say.. "what an experience yaar..feel agayi !" Thats an experience too, sure..but what i'm talking about below is those everyday people which we can tend to(..asymptotic curve maybe? :P ) take for granted or basically, don't count daily life with them as a "RELEVANT EXPERIENCE". So here goes a list !

  • Dealing with your parents: BIGGEST experience ever !..especially after a certain age. There are days when they either annoy you or don't understand you or just become a cause of your crazy-pendulum-of-a-mood-swing. I KNOW the reasons behind all the drama.. "generation gap"..or  "we just want the best for you"..or "we are passing on our knowledge to you"..etc etc... BUT if it annoys YOU, then its crucial to figure out the best coping strategy (which doesn't hurt anyone) as none of these explanations( & many more like them) work when you're storming to your room/ out of the house in anger..!
My advice: Keep Calm and think of it as an experience in personal dealings (inventing stuff?..dunno :o). It is  hands down the LONGEST EXPERIENCE you'll get in dealing with  human relations/ crisis management/call-what-you-may..and if you're smart enough, this experience with your folks will help you deal with ALOT of other people in life ahead. SO be THANKFUL to them for that !
REMEMBER THIS and BE HAPPY ! :)

  • Dealing with your friends: Even better..!..cause mostly these humans are of the same age group as you and think alike (alien voice effect). You can share everything with them and one really LEARNS ALOT from friends..So at their most annoying moments...My advice: Think of it as an experience in 'Patience & Tolerance Development' or 'how-to-overlook-dumb-things-of-people-you-love'.
OR MORE!! But they're ADORABLE!! :*

  • Dealing with your enemies: Don't try to have any (enemies)..or hope that its not a mutual feeling between them & you (If its only from your side..its alright ..but then you should learn to forgive/ overlook). This would be more like an experience in 'anger management' or 'ways to ignore people i hate'.. LOL..although one can DEFINITELY do without this kinda experience.. :)
DON'T BE LIKE THIS!!

  • Dealing with your BF/GF/Spouse: Hmmm..this is tricky ground and I cant even count myself as a self-taught expert here... plus valentines day is near!..so Ssshhhhh  :p
My Advice: 'Please Read The Offer Document Carefully Before Investing !' You know what I mean !..*wink wink*
LOL!!>> :P

Thats all from me this morning.. I hope this helps you as a coping strategy to deal with all these AWESOME people in your life. By the way .. MUST NOT put these in ur CV ;) :P

Enjoy!

Do You "Like" Me?!?

Facebook is madness people. I'm a member since 2008 and it just  keeps getting worse every year. Don't get  me wrong, I love the idea of "social networking"-- being in touch with people I normally wouldn't have been and off course sharing thoughts, ideas, pictures, songs, troll-sh*t, and what not, I'm even shopping for clothes & jewelery ere !! :o. Its kool, Its become a part of life. Too big a part actually. And, thanks to smartphones we are updated ALL the time.

I don't even wanna talk about the little needy-ness inside our already crammed up heads when it comes to posting a new post/status/photo/whatever and secretly waiting for someone to "like" it or "comment" on it. And then the disappointments..and the competition..( she's not even pretty why does she get more "likes" than me!?!?.. HAW :o ) And right now if in your mind you just said "hey, i'm not like that !" then go slap yourself..coz u have LIED. C'mon man..at least be true to yourself.. and you know, its OK..theres billions of us going through it..you're NOT alone. Though, sadly,I don't see any solution, except maybe quitting.. but who wants to do THAT right? Plus..HELLO!! its human nature to feel all this..isn't it?..I think it is.. (Yup, thats my excuse to stay..whats yours?)

Although, frankly I do admit that Its getting a bit too much now. Addiction maybe? I don't know..I'm a weakling when it comes to these things, can't shake it off too soon. I would LOVE to be one of those who think "we are too kool for FB" or "FB is just a waste of time and hence no account". Seriously man, the day I can implement that, I swear i'll be happier, ACCOMPLISHMENT you see..! But till then, I promise to complain, grumble, smile, laugh and be a bag of mixed confused emotions about yet another thing in my life.. FB..!

I hope know your in the same boat as me so share your thoughts if you feel like.
Sigh..It was good venting...

Enjoy..

Got Any Talking Skills Call Centre Boy??

Half of this country's youth is employed in call centres.. BPO or whatever..I don't particularly care about the whole situation ( i know neither do you, so don't pretend !) except when I call somewhere and I'm put on hold by an answering machine to talk to a  "customer CARE representative".

I've always had to call either Airtel, Just Dial, Tata sky or Sony etc and needless to say people on these lines have been really nice..i say a big THANKS to their HR departments who have taken out the time to give their phone people good training sessions. Seriously, they  BREATHE courtesy ! Its  their job to "care"..or well at least to pretend to care..I'm kool even if the customer "care" dude is  pretending ..but just till the time I DON'T find out about it. Because the thing is, if I know you are pretending that means obviously you suck at your job which in turn means that you won't be able to resolve my problem..WHICH my dear call centre boy, would mean that I wasted time, money and energy on someone who is well lets say..useless!..and if that won't make me ( or any other customer) angry then I wonder what would.. :o

So well, I experienced a similar situation today. I got my laptop fixed yesterday from this very professional firm in Gurgaon, (not taking any names)...and today the the problem in my laptop recurred..so obviously I was like WTF! I called their toll free number and complained. But this idiot is answering me with HMMMs and asking really dumb question like "did you restart your computer?"..i mean.. HELLO!!..who won't!??!?!

NOT once did he say " I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or "we will resolve your problem asap" or anything of that sort.. didn't even pretend that the company he works for is responsible for distressing me..  he had totally forgotten the golden rule of sales "the customer is ALWAYS right"..instead he was blaming me for the fact that his techie screwd up my laptop further!!.. GOD!!..I HAD to gave him a good piece of my mind
(still no sorry)..then, before hanging up I casually asked him " as a representative shouldn't you atleast apologise for the inconvenience your company is causing me? " and hes lyk " OK.." and hung up !..can you imagine?!?!

well..some customer "CARE" I tell you..Basic Ps & Qs.. not so difficult!!..I'm sure he bunked all employee improvement classes & training that these BPO chaps have to go through..or maybe his supervisor was screwd up in the head to hire an idiot like him!..two words--PURELY PATHETIC!..

I didn't wanna defame the company as other people working their have not forgotten their courtesy and the service is mostly satisfactory. Do share if you've had any such experience or just have something on your mind !
